Parrox Hall is open to visiting groups by appointment. In 2012,the house and gardens will also be open to the public for guided tours on a number of days in the summer. Full details of opening times will be posted on this site. In addition, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy one of our special candlelit ‘open evenings’, details of which appear in our calendar of events.
Visitors to Parrox Hall can expect a fascinating tour of one of the oldest houses in Lancashire with one of our expert guides. See old carvings, hear about the history of the Hall and the manorial family and learn more about this beautiful part of Lancashire. You will also be able to find out more about ghosts and boggarts, tunnels and smugglers as well as the life and traditions of Over Wyre folk over the centuries.
Facilities on the Parrox Hall estate are being developed to enhance access. Our plans include the development of a visitor centre, for which the Parrox Hall Preservation Trust will submit an application for planning permission. Full details of the plans will be posted on this site in the near future. The plans, which are being developed in conjunction with a leading firm of heritage architects, constitute an exciting new development for the Over Wyre community.
